How we compare pet food prices

Most pet food price comparisons are misleading, because they compare total bag price without accounting for pack size. A 2kg bag at £8 looks cheaper than a 4kg bag at £14, until you actually work out the price per kilo.

Where the numbers come from
We check prices directly on each retailer's own product pages, including standard pricing and any loyalty-scheme discounts (like Pets at Home's Pets Club price, or Zooplus's Repeat discount), so you can see the real cheapest option available to you, not just the headline price.
